For those of you who are new to the team, we have two championships at the end of our season. One, you MUST qualify for, the other is OPEN TO EVERYONE.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING MORE THAN ONCE (It can get confusing) 

 

We have two championship meets:

B Championships- NON-QUALIFYING MEET

 

• ALL swimmers can participate in this meet.

• It is an optional meet that takes place on Saturday, July 17TH at Rose Tree WoodsSwim Club.

• This meet is laid back and fun. It is recommended for ALL swimmers on the team.

• Your child does not have to meet a certain time standard for this meet and it is a great way to cap off the season.

• You can choose the events your child wants to swim in the link below.

• If you cannot attend this meet, please select that box on the form.

A Championships- QUALIFYING MEET ONLY-

• In order to attend this meet, your child must have met a certain time standard. I have attached the list of swimmers who have qualified for this meet. PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF THEIR NAME IS ON IT.

• Your swimmer must reach a certain time standard in order to be entered in this meet. The only exception is if your child is invited to participate in a relay. 

​

• We do not swim the Individual Medley or Distance Freestyle events at a regular meet so we will hold try-outs for these events after picture day.

​

• The last day to qualify for A Champs is Wednesday, July 14th!

A Champs takes place on multiple days, depending on what your child qualified for:

• Monday, July 19th- 4:00 PM- Distance Free ONLY at Ply Mar Swim Club

• Wednesday, July 21st- 4:00 PM- Individual Medley ONLY at Hidden Hollow

• Saturday, July 24th-8:00 AM- ALL REGULAR MEET EVENTS at Aronimink Swim Club

Elite Meet:

The Elite Meet is held for the swimmers that place top 2 in their age group in each event at A Champs. This meet takes place on Tuesday, July 30th at 5:00 PM @ Rose Tree Woods

*VERY IMPORTANT:

WE HAVE TWO MORE SWIM MEETS AFTER ENTRIES ARE DUE.

If your child wants to try and qualify during the last week of regular meets, you MUST have entered them into that particular event for B Champs.

 

Example:

• Susie Q signed up for B Champs in butterfly.

• Entries are submitted and Susie is entered in B Champs to swim butterfly.

• Susie swims butterfly in the varsity meet after entries were submitted.

• Susie makes the A Champs Qualifying time at the varsity meet.

• Since Susie has a butterfly entry in B Champs, her entry will be switched to the A Champs meet because she made the A Champs qualifying time. 

• Susie would not be able to swim at A Champs with her new qualifying time if she had not signed up for that butterfly event at B Champs.

SIGN-UP FORM DIRECTIONS:

Check off the boxes of the events your child would like to swim at B Champs AND/OR A Champs. If your child cannot attend a meet, please check off that box.

IF YOU DO NOT FILL OUT THIS FORM YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ENTERED IN B CHAMPS OR A CHAMPS.  

 

 

 

Again, if your child did not qualify, they may be asked to swim in a relay. I will be notifying those particular swimmers.
